15 Milford Summer Camps Available this Summer

We don’t know about you, but for us, summer camp meant exploration, sitting by the campfire roasting marshmallows, and making friends. Today, summer camp is slightly different. From marine biology to theater to coding, there is no shortage of summer camp offerings. We've made it easy for Milford parents to keep their kids busy and happy this summer with your 2021 guide to summer camps in Milford.  

Nature & Exploration
If you have little scientists at home, summer is the perfect time to stimulate and nourish their interest in science and. Long, warm days allow for exploration of forests, beaches, riverbeds, and clear skies. Whether it be marine biology, archeology, or animals, these camps grant your children the gift of hands-on learning while acquiring new skills and expanding their circle of friends.

Marine Biology Camp
Study marine habitats and cetaceans using posters, live and rare museum specimens. Collect, label & mount a marine mollusk collection.

Bird Identification Camp
Campers will be immersed in live birds on trails and in the salt marsh. They will have the opportunity view specimens at the observatory and explore mounted specimens at the museum using a field guide. We will also make a life size painting of their favorite bird on a piece of pine.

Archaeology & Native American Culture Camp
Campers will learn about the art of archaeology and Native American Culture. They will explore an ancient village site and have three full days of “digs.”

Connecticut Audubon Society Camp
Fostering a love for curiosity and exploration, the Connecticut Audubon camps offer summer programs for kids ages 3-14 to explore nature all summer long.

Milford Yacht Club Sailing
Open to ages 5-18 (members and non-members), the Milford Yacht Club offers learn to sail, adventure sailing, race training, and field trips with the goal of building lifelong sailors in its summer sailing program.

Cub Scout Camp at Eisenhower Park
Packs, Dens, and individuals are all welcome to register for Connecticut Yankee Council’s Day Camps for a week of outdoor adventure packed with archery, field sports, nature, STEM, Scout skills, and more. All areas (especially archery and water activities place a special emphasis on safety procedures.

Camp is all about enjoying the outdoors, making new friends, trying something new and having fun among the trees and natural environment. YMCA campers will gather with their groups at the tents, play games in the fields, and climb to new heights on our climbing wall.
