If your kids are anything like my two bundles of seemingly endless energy, there are (so many) days when you could really use a space for them to bounce off the walls -- not in your dining room. Luckily for families with active kids, a number of indoor play spaces have reopened under state guidelines implementing enhanced cleaning procedures, social distancing protocols, and advance registration requirements. ensuring not only a fun day trip but increased safety. Here are six indoor play spaces open now in Greater New Haven.

IT Adventure Ropes Course, New Haven
Adventure can happen anywhere – including indoors. Currently booking by reservation only, IT Adventure Ropes Course is indoors, but has plenty of space for kids climb, swing and maneuver through the various levels of obstacles—includng a "Little IT and Zip IT" for small children.

Kidz KlubMilford
Kiddos ages one to 10 can visit Kidz Klub, inside the Connecticut Post Mall, for an afternoon of fun.  With a climbing area, slides, ball pit, mini-trampoline, obstacle course, and more, Kidz Klub offers a convenient space to let your kids get their energy out. There's even an area for the littlest climbers and players. Up to two adults are free with each child. Temperature screenings and face masks are required for all guests.

Urban Air Trampoline Park, Orange
Marketed as a trampoline park “on steroids,” Urban Air's 84,200 square feet of indoor space also includes go-karts, a zip line, laser tag, a "Ninja Warrior"-inspired play area, a colossal climbing playground, and more! Spin on their go-karts, soar on the sky-rider zip-line, or launch into the foam pit. There is a special area for kids ages 7 and under with wall-to-wall trampolines so that younger ones can bounce around without worrying about bumping into adults. You can expect temperature screenings, enforced social distancing, and reduced capacity.

Bounce Town USA, Milford
Tucked on the Post Road in Milford, Bounce Town USA boasts one of the largest indoor inflatable adventure zones and arcades in the state. No reservations are required for open bounce time (available seven days a week, beginning at noon or 11am on weekends), but be sure your kids wear socks. Masks required.

Whippersnappers Play Gym, Cheshire
We really love Whippersnappers Play Gym because it is so different than most indoor play spaces. There is, literally, an indoor playground with slides and wooden climbing structures.
